Please refresh the page and retry. You have to feel sorry for British naturists like myself. Personally I blame Sid James. In fact, all nude bathers really want to do is swim and soak up the sun without the encumbrance of a pair of shorts. And, somewhat unlike over here ask naked rambler Stephen Gough , the activity is totally legal.
Formby Point - near Liverpool - Lancashire - Naturist Beach - SWC
Does anyone know if the beaches at Ainsdale or Formby point near to Southport are still absolute no-go areas for a bit of discreet nude sunbathing? Apparently there was some form of major operation by the local police a couple of years back and we were wondering if it's a form of on-going thing for them? I'm not sure if there are regular patrols, though if they get wind that there's nudity going on there again, you can bet that they'll start organising them. They've made it quite clear in the past that nudity will not be tolerated in the area, and I don't see any reason to believe that viewpoint has changed. Unfortunately, typical 'sand dune' activity has spoiled it for those who just want to catch some all-over rays. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. If you must, then have a mooch around the legal section of nuff.
We'd heard whispers of its existence but can now reveal Jane Caunt, who works at Liverpool Sun and Air Society LSAS told the Liverpool Echo : "The Society provides a venue where you can shed your troubles with your clothes when you enter through the gates, a place where you can get some quality down time. Situated just a mile from the M62 and M57 motorways it is popular with people from all over the North West, as well as the Midlands, Yorkshire and North Wales. The site has a swimming pool, barbecue area, tennis court, clubroom, hot tub, sauna, and areas where guests can play tennis, shuffleboard and petanque, which is similar to boules. What's On.
