It moves fast and covers more ground than it seems to. And it starts right up front with Nagata in a love hotel about to lose her virginity with a sex worker from a lesbian agency. Nagata writes about depression, her eating disorder, self-harm and struggling with her idea of adulthood. The book is more humorous and less depressing than all that might sound. Nagata depicts herself at 28, having a hard time.

It was originally published by Nagata on the art website Pixiv ; it was later published in a single print volume by East Press in June in Japanese, and by Seven Seas Entertainment in June in English, with this version winning the Harvey Award for Best Manga of It was well received by critics, one of whom called it a counterpoint to the " yuri fantasies" common to the genre, and was included on several lists of the best comics of the year, including the annual Kono Manga ga Sugoi! The manga is an autobiography following Kabi Nagata, a young woman, exploring subjects such as her mental health , her exploration of her sexuality, and her experience with growing up.
